Impact of stress in childhood: Psychobiological alterations

Banqueri, M., Méndez, M., & Arias, J. L. (2017). Impact of stress in childhood: Psychobiological alterations. Psicothema, 29(1), 18-22. doi:10.7334/psicothema2016.264

In their article “Impact of stress in childhood: Psychobiological alterations” published in Psicothema, María Banqueri, Marta Méndez and Jorge L. Arias question the effects of early life stress on humans.  This article supports this question by defining research in literature.  The purpose of this article is to point out the experimental results related to chronic early-life stress in both human and experimental models to show the impact of early-life stress.  This article was written for medical professionals interested in the effects of chronic stress on the human body.

I found this article on the library database, Academic Search Complete.  I used the key words long term effect and child abuse.  My search was limited to 226 articles because I filtered it to show only articles from 2016 and 2017.  I chose this article because the title, impact of stress.  One of my questions I want to answer is about the effects of stress.  I think this is a credible source because it was on the academic search complete.  I will use this information in my research because it has information pertaining to stress and child abuse and that is what my claim is about.
